Name: Amberstar
Age: 47 moons
Gender: She-cat
Rank: Leader
Mentor/Apprentice: None
Mate/Crush: None
Short description: A small tri-colored tabby with honey-toned eyes. [x]
Personality:
Amberstar takes herself and her job very seriously. She has no real sense of humor and does not take kindly to practical jokes. Though the she-cat will take no sass or smart-aleck behavior from her clanmates she does care deeply for them and would sacrifice all nine lives to save one in an instant. This is immediately apparent to anyone she is familiar with as she speaks very little of herself, directing all conversation towards her companions.
Although Amberstar is hardly a bleeding heart. She may have strong-bonds with her own, but she is all too aware of the risks that come with becoming comfortable with outsiders. Because of this EarthClan is patrolled fiercely. Immobilization first, questions later is her private motto. She does not resort first to outright violence when unnecessary but in her eyes complete control of the environment always is. In this aspect she has often been described as "over-bearing."
When presented with a social situation she is a bit tense. She may try to joke around, but her attempts are usually pitifully failed. Amberstar can easily make smalltalk about the weather, hunting, and attack strategies, but her area of expertise ends there and so begins a reign of awkward silences and forced laughter.
Eyes: Honey-colored
Pelt and Overall Appearance:
Amberstar is not a particularly pretty she-cat. Her coloring is gray, speckled with black tabby. Working seamlessly into the earth-tones are splashes of fiery orange, which appears to have bored into her more natural coloration. This is streaked with a lighter shade of orange, almost yellow. The body beneath her mottled pelt is wired with thick muscles that appear always coiled and on edge. Her face is usually set in an emotionless mask which could be labeled as a bored or perhaps tired expression.
Amberstar's tail is bobbed naturally and often set vertically or angled over her curved back. She does not like to sit up or stand straight, and will only do so if she feels the need to command the utmost of attention. Her legs, contrarily, never appear relaxed. She keeps them rigid in public so as to appear ready and alert despite her slouchy posture.
History:
At birth Amberkit showed no remarkableness in any way. She lived comfortably in the nursery with her mother, Ashwhisker and two siblings, Sparrowkit and Twigkit. She was one of three she-kits, later becoming one of two when Twigkit's life was claimed by greencough. After this their mother became somewhat distant but life went on relatively unchanged until Amberkit and Sparrowkit became apprentices.
During her apprenticeship Amberpaw did not socialize with her peers. She put all her time and energy into training, which put her a step ahead of the others. She saw this as a major accomplishment, the other apprentices saw it as a challenge. By this point they had stopped even trying to talk to her, but now they switched to constantly harrasing the she-cat. She remained unfazed, encouraged by her mentor and several other warriors. Giving up had never been an option in her mind-- These immature fools would thank her for her efforts some day.
After proving herself worthy of the title Amberpaw became Amberclaw (much to the dismay of the other apprentices). Sparrowpaw and a male were also promoted to warrior in the same ceremony. This bothered Amberclaw slightly, but she reassured herself that it was not a sign of weakness, but rather their strength.
In the moons that came after Amberclaw continued to work tirelessly. She became a bit more comfortable with other warriors, especially those that had helped her as an apprentice. By the time their deputy perished (killed by a loose dog) she had gained some popularity with the clan and it was decided that she would be deputy.
With this new rank came a boost of confidence. Amberclaw spoke frequently with her clanmates (though her social skills remained relatively undeveloped). The she-cat worked hard as ever, though she spent some of her free time with friends.
Nearly two moons after becoming deputy the leader of the time lost his last life in a battle against WaterClan. Amberclaw became leader of EarthClan, a position she was not afraid to take. She felt born to lead her clan, and she was hugely satisfied that all her hard work had paid off.
((Sorry if the History cuts off stupid 8P I had to get offline right before finishing it, and have obviously lost that train of thought.
